KINDRED HAS A LOT TO OFFER
We have a lot to offer! The City of Kindred is located 20 miles southwest of Fargo. We enjoy the quiet, small-town atmosphere where you get a wave "hello" from every passing car, but are close enough to big city conveniences.
We have a lot to offer! We have 2 city parks, swimming pool, daycare facilities, library, grocery store, fire department, ambulance service, hair salons, bank, credit union, chiropractor, gas/convenience store, 2 bars, cafe, airport, agricultural business, hardware store, auto shops...the list goes on and on!
We have a lot to offer! The Kindred School district serves the communities of Davenport, Hickson, Kindred, Leonard, Oxbow and Walcott. The new Kindred High School opened the fall of 2012 serving grades 7-12. The elementary school houses K-6 classes which boast a low 17.3 to 1 student/teacher ratio. The school is a proud class B school with an active sports program.
We have a lot to offer! Kindred has 2 beautiful parks. The city park is located in the heart of the city and features a picnic shelter, basketball courts, sand valleyball, playground equipment and a swimming pool. Gilbertson Park has a softball diamond and picnic shelter. Park summer activities include t-ball, softball, and swimming.
We have a lot to offer! Kindred is home to North Dakota's first airpark housing development. Newport Ridge offers homes with taxi-way access to the airport as well as single family and twin-home lots. Newport Ridge is conveniently located next to the elementary school and has its own bike path. Phase 2 of this development is currently being planned.
We have a lot to offer! Maybe you would like to purchase a home with character. We have that. How about a one-level townhouse with floor heating? We have that. Would you like to start out by living in an apartment? We have that. Thinking about building new? We have lots to offer.

We have a lot to offer! Come see for yourselft! Our welcome sign lets you know that kindness is valued in our small community!
We are proud of the cleanliness of our town and the friendliness of its people. Kindred is an ideal place to establish a new business or to raise a family. We have an excellent school system, several churches, low taxes, close to metropolitan area, recreational facilities, wide variety of year round activities, virtually no crime, community spirit and enthusiasm.
