The City Park is located in the heart of the city across from the elementary school.
The park features a new pool, picnic shelter, basketball courts, playground equipment, and the Memorial Building.
Gilbertson Park is located behind the school’s baseball diamond and
it features playground equipment and softball diamonds with a picnic shelter.
The use of tobacco products is prohibited in city-owned or leased parks and recreational facilities, including both outdoor
and enclosed areas. This prohibition includes all facilities at which parks and recreation-sponsored activities occur.
No person shall use any tobacco products at or on any outdoor or enclosed areas of City-owned or operated
recreational facilities, including playgrounds, athletic fields, restrooms, spectator areas, enclosed buildings,
concession areas and parking lots. Recreational facilities include, but are not limited to, the Memorial Building, Kindred
Pool and park shelters.
A multi-purpose building is conveniently located at the city park and is used for special events such as family reunions,
dances, bazaars, and parties. There is no fee for renting the Memorial Building but a $100 deposit is required.

A youth fastpitch softball/baseball complex completed construction in 2014 across from Gilbertson Park. These fields are
used for girls' fastpitch for junior high, junior varsity, and varsity from Kindred High School, summer girls' fastpitch
programs for 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, and 18u, and youth baseball for 12 and under.
