Utility Billing Schedule:
Water meters are read on or around the 10th of each month. The utility bill is mailed out by the 26th, with payment due on the 15th of each
month. If the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, late fees will be assessed the following business day.

A drop box is located outside City Hall where payments may be dropped off. Checks or money orders only please.

ACH AUTO PAY BY BANK DRAFT IS AVAILABLE & IS FREE!!
We are pleased to offer a new way to pay your utility bills – ACH Automatic Bank Drafts. Now you can have your utility bills paid
automatically each month directly from your checking or savings account with
no service fees.

How does ACH Auto Pay work?
• On the 15th of each month, the amount due on your utility account will be withdrawn automatically from your checking or savings account as
an electronic debit by the financial institution you provide below.
• Partial payments are not acceptable with ACH withdrawals, the full amount due on your account is withdrawn.
• Any resident or business that receives a City of Kindred utility bill can sign up for this
FREE SERVICE! NO FEES!!

Garbage pickup is every Tuesday.
Recycle pickup is every other week on Tuesday.

Your help to keep contaminates out of recycling totes is greatly appreciated!
Most important tip: Plastic bags are not recyclable and can become tangled in sorting machines! Please do not bag items!
Keep the items CLEAN & DRY! Be sure the recycling tote lid can remain closed to keep recyclables dry, especially on rainy days!        


Yard Waste/Compost rolloff dumpsters are NOW available for the 2020 season!
They are located on Elm Street west of the railroad tracks by the City Shop. Here is a reminder of the Compost/Yard Waste Rules:

COMPOST/YARD WASTE COLLECTION SITE RULES
FOR USE BY CITY RESIDENTS ONLY -- COMMERCIAL USE PROHIBITED

ACCEPTABLE YARD WASTE:
LEAVES, GRASS CLIPPINGS, GARDEN VEGETATION, BRUSH LIMBS, BRANCHES - NOT TO EXCEED 6” DIAMETER.

NO tree stumps. NO branches larger than 6" diameter (about the size of a pop can).
NO plastic bags. Please empty contents from bags and dispose of the bags in receptacle or reuse them!

If the dumpsters are full, please
DO NOT leave yard waste on the ground. Please check back the following day, as we monitor these daily
and request empty dumpsters as needed.

THIS PROPERTY IS NOT A COLLECTION SITE FOR APPLIANCES OR JUNK OF ANY SORT! THIS IS CONSIDERED ILLEGAL DUMPING
AND IS PUNISHABLE BY FINES. REFER TO KINDRED CITY ORDINANCE NO. 15-0311.

SPRING CLEAN UP is scheduled
for Saturday, June 13th, 2020!!

Curbside clean up will only be
performed for single family homes
and mobile home locations who
pay a monthly garbage fee to the
City.
Apartment buildings and
commercial properties are not
included.

Residents will be allowed to leave
acceptable bulky garbage on the
curb side of their boulevard.

Allowable quantity per residence
is 3 yards - about the size of
three 96-gallon totes.

Acceptable Items:
+ Paint cans with lids off and dried
+ Bulky household items including
chairs, sofas, mattresses, furniture,
toilets, etc.

Non-Acceptable Items:
+ Electronics (TVs, computers,
monitors, printers),
+ Household hazardous waste,
+ Lawn mowers or other small
engines containing fuel or liquids,
+ Liquids of any type,
+ Freon containing items,
+ Propane tanks
+ Gas cans
+ Metals
+ Cement blocks, masonry bricks, or
any other type of landscape support
+ Tires and batteries.
+ NO appliances of any kind:
dishwashers, microwaves, washers,
or dryers.
+ NO large amounts of construction
or demolition materials.

Please Note: Any item(s) deemed
Non-Acceptable or to be a hazard to
the employees or the collection
vehicle will NOT be collected and will
be your responsibility to remove.
