Welcome to Kindred, ND
We have a LOT to offer!

We have a lot to offer! The City of Kindred is located 20 miles southwest of Fargo.
We enjoy the quiet, small-town atmosphere where you get a wave "hello" from every passing car,
but are close enough to big city conveniences.

We have a lot to offer! We have 2 city parks, daycare facilities, library, grocery store,
fire department, ambulance service, hair salons, bank, credit union, gas/convenience store, bar,
cafe, airport, agricultural business, hardware store, auto shops...the list goes on and on!

We have a lot to offer! The Kindred School District serves the communities of Kindred,
Davenport, Hickson, Leonard, Oxbow, and Walcott.
The new Kindred High School opened the fall of 2012, serving grades 7-12.
The elementary school houses K-6 classes which boast a low 17.3 to 1 student/teacher ratio.
The Kindred School District is a proud class B school with an active sports program.

We have a lot to offer! Kindred has 2 beautiful parks.
The City Park is located in the heart of the city and features a picnic shelter,
basketball courts, swimming pool, and playground equipment.
Also we have ice hockey grounds for all the lovers of this sport. Our community enjoys ice hockey
as much as anyone, we love to follow NHL and make our predictions on the matches' outcomes.
Some of our folks create their own tips on hockey and they are quite successful with it!
Gilbertson Park has a softball diamond, playground, and picnic shelter.
Park summer activities include swimming, t-ball, softball, and mini camps.
The softball complex has 2 diamonds and is fully equipped to provide exciting softball games!

We have a lot to offer! Kindred is home to North Dakota's first airpark housing development.
Newport Ridge offers homes with taxi-way access to the airport,
as well as single-family and twin-home lots.
Newport Ridge is conveniently located next to the elementary school and has its own bike path.

We have a lot to offer! Maybe you would like to purchase a home with character. We have that.
How about a one-level townhouse with floor heating? We have that.
Would you like to start out by living in an apartment? We have that.
Thinking about building new? We have lots to offer.

We have a lot to offer! Just south of Kindred is the Red Barn & Berry farm offering u-pick
raspberries and produce. Enjoy nature and hiking in the sandhills. We have snowmobile trails,
hunting and fishing, annual Kindred Community Days activities, wildlife club, FFA, Cub Scouts,
Girl Scouts, youth baseball, 4H, and many other clubs and organizations.

We have a lot to offer! Come see for yourself!
Our welcome sign lets you know that kindness is valued in our small community!
